Project Overview
The Sunflower Estate represents a foundational milestone in the Lux Leonum Architectonic Art Collection. This early large-scale project explores the integration of traditional residential forms with expansive, resort-style outdoor living. The design is centered around a unique, detached master pavilion that serves as a private island within the estate’s symmetrical water features.
Design Philosophy
The philosophy behind Sunflower is: Hydrological Balance.
By placing the primary sleeping quarters in a standalone structure flanked by matching pools, the design utilizes water as both a physical barrier and a meditative focal point. The goal was to deconstruct the traditional single-block house into a series of interconnected, light-filled pavilions.
Technical Achievement
- The Symmetrical Water Core: A manually aligned dual-pool system that anchors the central outdoor corridor, creating a perfectly mirrored reflection of the estate’s structural wings.
- Island Pavilion Logic: The detached central bedroom requires precise pathing and exterior wall alignment to ensure it remains the mathematical center of the lot’s social and private zones.
- Terraced Exterior Circulation: A meticulous application of checkered tile-work and manicured hedges that define the outdoor rooms, ensuring the massive lot remains navigable and architecturally structured from every angle.
